CFN’s Costa Rica trip is packed with adrenaline filled activities like whitewater rafting through the jungle, swimming in waterfalls, and ziplining through the forest.

For those CFN members in a more tranquil state of mind, take the time to relax with yoga, massages and some amazing wildlife viewing.

CFN members will also experience the natural beauty of the landscape, waterfalls, wildlife, and lush vegetation.

COROCOADO NATIONAL PARK

One of the biggest attractions is all CFN members will have the opportunity to visit Corcovado National Park which encompasses the only remaining old growth wet forests on the Pacific coast of Central America, and 13 major ecosystems.

YOUR CFN TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrive – San Jose
San Jose – Esterillos Oeste

Upon arrival in San Jose, your private local guide will meet you and transfer you to Esterillos Oeste, where you will check into Surf Costa, for a six night stay. Surf Costa is a private resort for the surfer, adventurer, and eco traveler that expect their travels to be safe, enlightening, private, and exciting. This private vacation home resort is in the safety of a gated development in Esterillos Oeste, Costa Rica. Located on the Pacific side of Costa Rica, you can find all types of surfing breaks to suit your surfing needs. Your personal tour guide and driver will bring you on many authentic excursions throughout the nearby area. Waterfalls, beaches, canopy zipline, fishing, horseback riding, rainforest hikes; Your Costa Rica vacation will be exactly what you make of it. Pura vida. This evening you will enjoy a welcome dinner! (D)

Day 2

Tres Piscinas waterfall Excursion y

Head out this morning to a local spot for breakfast and a divine cup of Costa Rica coffee. After breakfast you will continue on for a Waterfall Excursion. Visit the secret Tres Piscinas (Three Waterfalls). Enjoy a gorgeous walk through fields and jungle to get to the pools, but make sure don’t where your favorite shoes because it gets very muddy!! You will see all sorts of amazing wildlife, and can even cliff jump off two of the waterfalls into deep pools if you would like. Spend time swimming and enjoying the waterfalls before heading back to the camp. Dinner this evening at the resort. (B,L,D)

Day 3

Amigos del Rio

Depart early this morning around 6AM for a journey of unsurpassed beauty, jungle vegetation, and exploding whitewater. Spend the day filled with adrenaline as you paddle hard over the waves, while white water rafting down the river. Along the way you will be astounded by the stunning canyons, waterfalls, and primary rainforest of Costa Rica. Half way through you will stop for lunch & a dip at a waterfall so bring a camera! (B,L)

Day 4

Hermosa

Rise this morning for another peaceful morning yoga session. After breakfast depart for a day filled with adventure as you zip line through the jungle’s tree tops and see the breath taking sights! Suspended on a platform above the rainforest outside Jaco, you can see down the entire coast of Hermosa beach. The tour takes you through the transitional rainforest along 13 cables, 15 platforms and a suspension bridge hung between two towering trees. A short truck ride takes you up 2,000 feet above sea level into the rainforest that drapes the hills around Hermosa Beach. These cables take you on an intimate excursion into the rainforest, so close you may be ducking your head to avoid an incoming branch. Experienced guides take all the necessary safety precautions, but that won’t stop you from reaching speeds between 35 and 50 mph while riding the lines between trees! This evening, after a long day of adventure, relax and unwind with a soothing massage. (B,L)

Day 5

Corcovado National Park

Depart early this morning, around 4:45AM for an experience of a lifetime, exploring the diversity found on the Osa peninsula which is not significantly surpassed by any other region of similar size on earth. Corcovado National Park encompasses the only remaining old growth wet forests on the Pacific coast of Central America, and 13 major ecosystems including lowland rain forest, highland cloud forest, jolillo palm forest, and mangrove swamps, as well as costal marine, sharks and beach habitats. There is a good chance of spotting some of Costa Rica’s shyest and most endangered inhabitants here; Baird’s Tapirs, Jaguars, Scarlet Macaws, Harpy Eagles, Red-backed squirrel monkeys and White-lipped Peccaries. It is wet, remote and rugged, so be prepared to get a little wet and muddy! This evening enjoy a farewell dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 6

Esterillos Oeste – San jose
Depart San Jose

After breakfast, you will be transferred to San Jose for your international departure flight. (B)
